ITV DVD are releasing the complete second series of "Gerry
Anderson's New Captain Scarlet" as a DVD box-set, on September 18th
(RRP £29.99). And to celebrate its arrival, The Hound has three
sets to give away...

A date with Destiny
Captain Scarlet returns for a second CGI series, and it's everything
we've come to expect - only better!
Filmed in Hypermarionation, these hi-tech adventures follow the agents
of Spectrum, protecting the earth from the threat of the Mysterons.
Spectrum Agent Captain Scarlet has escaped from the Mysteron's
clutches, only to find himself mysteriously altered. Now he is virtually
indestructible, and Colonel White can employ him against the enemy
on a series of seemingly impossible missions.
ITV DVD are releasing the second series as both a box-set
and as four stand-alone discs (RRP £7.99 each). This second slice
includes the showstopping "Enigma" which takes us on a dizzying
dogfight around a Mysteron ship, before our heroes step into its
dark heart.
Coming to the fore in this second round is Destiny Angel and the
rest of her fearless aeronautic company. Destiny used to have a
relationship with Captain Black, a Spectrum Agent turned into
Scarlet's nemesis by the Mysterons. Now Scarlet and Destiny
have a blossoming friendship - which means our hero has a greater
stake in the outcome of her sky-high encounters...

still, under this CGI bonnet is a very classy chassis - exciting
stories, excellent characterisation and some damn fine
drama to boot!"
