   Ready, Teddy, Go...

Continuing where the live-action series left off, animated Mr Bean follows
our favourite geek's hinjinx and adventures around town, with his beloved
Teddy in tow. And it's a classy toon, with beautiful, bold character designs
and an appealing background pallette. Rowan Atkinson's creation has been
meticulously reworked by the team at Tiger Aspect, Richard Purdum's
and Varga Studios, so that every nuance of the gangling star is captured
by the animators. And here, in this animated world, he's been able to
branch out into ever more outrageous scenarios. Best of all, each episode
is stuffed with little background details, in-jokes and  incidentals - the kind
of material that makes this a must-have on DVD.

Volume Two of "Mr Bean: The Animated Series" features eight
   episodes:

 No Pets                 Roadworks

Ray of Sunshine     • The Sofa

 Birthday Bear         • Treasure

The Mole               Homeless

The Hound says...
"Animated Mr Bean is hugely stylish, beautifully crafted, and really rather
terrific. It has some delicious character design; throughly modern, yet with
a classic retro feel. And every pratfall, every double-take, annoying grunt
and guffaw is pure, unmistakable "Bean". It's also stuffed  with lovely detail,
like all those silly shop names in the backgrounds, and references on the
posters and hoardings. Oh, and it's cruel, too. Mr Bean plays some wicked
mind games with Teddy. Crueler still is the fact the series has yet to receive
the plaudits it so clearly deserves..."
