Monster Fun Annual 1980
   
 
   Where's our Kid gone? - This year, Frankie Stein has
   usurped the front cover of the annual. He and the Professor
   are drawn marvellously-well by Robert Nixon...

   Equally-marvellous are this year's Badtime Bedtime
   presentations. "Robinson Gruesome" is billed as a
   "Second Showing" and it is, indeed, a repro of a tale
   that first appeared all the way back in "Monster Fun
   Comic" #2.

   "Aladdin and His Wonderful Tramp" is new, though.
   It's also bloomin' brilliant. This eight-page romp from
   Mike Brown contains some fabulous riffs on "Star Wars",
   would you believe? - Oh, but of course you would.
   It's a Badtime Bedtime Story, after all!

   Mike Brown's also holding the pen throughout "Alfie's
   Alphabet" which is another A-Z of one-off hilarity...

   Robert Nixon's drawn afour-page Kid Kong story that's
   beautifully inked. And Cliff Brown gives us two very
   distinct Spot the Difference games.

   Oh, but notice how reprints of "Hot Rod" make the most
   appearances. That's a worrying sign for the future,
   is that...
