Remember Moonbird? - He lived on the moon with a flock of similar moonchicks
and moonhens. The colony was protected by the all-seeing Moonhawk. No two
moonbirds were the same, each having their own unique colour and pattern.
Surprising, then, to find that our star Moonbird was just plain old white. Anyway,
our cheery bird regularly followed a moonbeam down to earth where he could
experience all the quirks and quandries of our modern earthly existence...

Moonbird first appeared as daily strips in various Associated Newspaper titles.
In the early eighties, creator Mike Higgs regenerated the flighty fellow into a
childrens picture book character. Titles included:

         Moonbird
         Moonbird to the Rescue
         Moonbird and the Unicorn
         Moonbird and the Space Pirates

Mike Higgs previously tooned for "Pow!", "Wham!" and "Smash!" comics. After
Moonbird he drew "Thundercap" for "Buster", and "Space School" for "Whizzer
& Chips" - both destined to be indexed in time over on Fleetway St....
