In
the Spring of 1975, each the four Bumpkin Billionaires were each given
their
own pull-out in the pages of "Whoopee!".
Daisy was the second in the run,
following on from Pa
Bumpkin, and she was followed by Ma
Bumpkin and
young Billy Bumpkin. All four were drawn by the
strip's regular artist,
Mike Lacey, and the kids and adults alike were
depicted with their
famyard pals and great big sacks of cash, as one
would expect of the
richest folks around.
Daisy looks super, doesn't she? She's making a
string of paperplay figures
out of her money. But the image doesn't actually
make much sense.
How on earth has Daisy knocked up such a long run of
figures from a
single five pound note?!...
