Mr and Mrs Slimm were an over-fed duo who were always
on the scrounge for food. But their scheming son Sammy
was constantly foiling their plans with traps and tricks to
stop them scoffing - for their own good, of course.

There were only two possible outcomes. In the first, Mum
and Dad came out on top, ridding themselves of Sammy
and giving them freedom to scoff as much nosh as they
wanted. And in the second, devious Sammy would thwart
the duo and force them into a painful bout of exercise...

You know, you just couldn't get away with this now.
Mum and Dad's predicament would be "discussed" on
Morning TV and Sammy paraded before the audience
as the pantomime villain of the piece.

S'funny how the world has changed.

The Slimms started life as Cor!! stars. When the comic
merged with Buster in 1974 they were dropped for a while,
only to spring back into the Fleetway weeklies in Whizzer
& Chips - Presumably, the word "Chips" got their tums
    rumbling again...
