Emmy loves Shaun (04.10.10)

No, Emmy's not a girl-sheep, dearest reader. She's a shiny
American television award given out by the International
Academy of Television
Arts and Sciences, and she's highly coveted amongst
executives and producers around the world. This year's nominees
have just been announced and it's been a bumper year for
the Brits,
with UK productions included in nine of the ten different
award
categories that will be up for grabs come November 22nd,
when the winners are revealed.
Best of all, Shaun
the Sheep has been given a nod in the
Children and Young People category. And that's the second
time
he's been nominated. In fact, he won the thing, back
in 2008.
Aardman
Animation must be doubly delighted this time!
On the night, Shaun will be up against 13
at War
(NPS Broadcasting Organisation / The Netherlands),
Do-Re-Mi-Factory
(TV Globo / Brazil), and Happy
Birthday
(Fuji Television Network, Inc./ Japan),
and you can bet we'll
be keeping our hooves and paws crossed for him
and Aardman...
