"The Roodie Noodies" from Complete Control
  spacerspacer
    In the nood      (01.05.11)

  spacerspacer

We've got sunshine and blue skies aplenty across the UK right
now, so it's probably the perfect time to be writing about the
new Summer characters created by the BAFTA-winning
   gang at Complete Control.

Glynn Hayward and Complete Control have previously brought
us some terrific tie-in web sites for Mr Bean, Charlie & Lola and
The Secret Show. This time, however, they're going it alone
   with their very own creations.

Toot! Toot! - It's The Roodie Noodies from Complete Control!

The Roodie Noodies are a colourful bunch of beach dwellers
with tootling trumpets for belly buttons. Shellie, Rockie, Lollie and
Shoobie toot and play around the shoreline in their swimsuits. They
like nothing better that to recycle the debris they find in the sand,
and amidst the rock pools in a series of wild games. Actually,
that's a lie, because best of all, they like to toot, parple and
trumpet to one another via those peculiar umbilicals!

Now the really interesting thing here is that you can meet the
Noodies and play their Slippery Pole game virtually first, because
they've been launched online via their own web site, and social
media (here they are on facebook) as well as via a downloadable
App. prior to any kind of tv pitch or commission. Complete Control
aren't the first to do this, of course, but it's always fascinating to
see how folks are having to adapt to the modern multi-platform
world in order to grab an audience - Toot! Toot!
