Raa
Raa - Ooh la la!
(26.05.11)

Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and his jingly-jangly
jungle-bound
buddies roared, crashed, tooted and banged on to CBeebies
on May 9th and there's a multi-talented talented triumvirate
behind the scenes, bringing the stop-motion animals to
life.
There's Keith Chapman and Curtis Jobling, for starters.
The
series was conceived by Curtis
and co-produced by Chapman
Entertainment.
The duo rubbed shoulders on "Bob the Builder",
of course. And the third member of the tean? It's Mackinnon
&
Saunders, the puppet masters who worked with Mr Jobling
on "Frankenstein's Cat".
And there's more. A number of the crew have hopped on
board Raa Raa's jungle train from HOT Entertainment,
like
Geoff Walker, Chapman Entertainment's Studio Director.
It's
enough to make you go "gaga"!
As for the 26 x 10min series, well, it's a perfect pre-schooler.
Lorraine Kelly introduces us to Raa Raa the noisy young
lion,
Huffty the elephant, Topsy the giraffe, Crocky the crocodile,
Zebby the zebra and Ooo Ooo the monkey as they gambol
around their jungle home, making friends, learning lots of
communicable new words and sounds and above all, making
lots and lots of noise. The Hound already has a soft
spot
for Ooo Ooo - it's a monkey thang - but all of them are
instant tots tv stars...
"Raa Raa the Noisy Lion" is currently airing
on CBeebies
every week day at 3:30pm.
