A shiny thingamajig...? (26.02.10)
Sssh. Quiet now. Can you hear? There's a whisper on the wind.
There's a DVD a-coming.... Summerton Mill... First season...
End of March...
That's all it is right now. Just a whisper. But it's got The Hound
very excited indeed. As you may recall, Summerton Mill popped
up at number two in our round-up of the Top Ten Toons of the last
decade. And with good reason. Because it's a classic. So there.
And if enough folks can be mobilised into actually buying the
show on DVD, well, it might just say something to the naysaying
broadcasters who ummed and aahed over its merits for far too
long...
Of course, as soon as he'd heard the whisper, Yours Truly got in
touch with Pete Bryden, one half of the creative patnership behind
the series. But the impish fellow merely added another layer to
this flighty news, by suggesting there might be iTunes downloads
a-coming too...
Oh me. Oh my. A disc and downloads? - It's almost too much
to take in one news bite...
