These were Whoopee!'s original full colour poster pages.
Each week readers were invited to send in ideas for crazy,
ghoulish, creatures and creations to appear on a freaky
Wanted poster. There was a £1 prize up for grabs, too.
The suggestions were frequently ridiculous, but the late
great turned them in to posterific wonders.

Ken furnished IPC with black and white illustrations which
were  then coloured in-house. The thumbnails on this page
lead to larger scans. And for the record, top left is from
issue 4, below left is issue 15 and right issue 25.

The Wanted page survived until Shiver & Shake merged
with Whoopee! in October 1974, giving us just over 30
    fine designs to savour.

But here's the rub, Shiver & Shake also had its own
gruesome poster page, Creepy Creations - also drawn
by Ken - and also based upon prize-winning suggestions
from the readership. And what's more, after the merger
we were introduced to a replacement, known as the
World-Wide Weirdies. This one had a new £2 prize,
and it ran for the next year before Whoopee! reverted
back to its stand-alone name and sadly dropped
    the concept altogether...

But - oh - all three poster sries were fun-tastic!
